>I'd argue his life on earth was much better, he just took it all for granted and made a shit use of his privileges
That's a pretty crazy take for any isekai enjoyer, lol. I would say that being born in the materially better circumstances of our real world isn't really worth that much when it also means having to be a wageslave in a ruthlessly competitive globalist hellscape world where nothing you do really matters, where there is no community, where you are bombarded with propaganda and psyops 24/7.
>You're right that there's a ceiling, and his is higher
His is much higher, and it can't be overstated how important that is. Sure, it comes from regular and disciplined training, but he just has such an obscene amount that it enables him to do things no one else could dream of doing even if they had also trained the way he did. Nanahoshi wouldn't be able to do shit without him. No one else can power up a golem to the point that its carrying a couple nuclear bombs worth of magic payload, enough to even challenge battle aura users on occasion (even if it ends up with the suit trashed). Even his figurine crafting is an obscene use of mana.
>His talent with magic is still surpassed by Sylphie to some degree, since she can actually heal people up to saint level without chanting shit
I agree, shame that is pretty much completely forgotten and eclipsed by other power level faggotry at that point in the story (everything becoming "Sword of Light, gg"). Sylphie was a criminally underutilized character. I'll never forgive Rifujin for giving us chapters worth of shitty Eris Dragon Ball Z training arcs instead of a deep dive into Sylphie being bodyguard to fucking Asuran royalty, constantly facing hardened assassins and being put in kill or be killed situations (unlike faggot Rudy with his Sperd bodyguard).
