This ex post facto logic does not apply. In the show Sylphie is initially shocked by Rudeus' declaration he intends to marry Roxy as well, and that he cheated on Sylphie. But once she gathers herself, she's calm, collected, and acts decisively. And there's nothing about her conduct in that scene or after that suggests she's operating out of a fear the Rudeus will leave her.
Of course as a viewer we don't know the internal states of characters, but I never got the impression she was anything less than forgiving and graceful in this scene. That's why I consider it one of her finest moments. And if we steelman that argument and say, ok, she was afraid, she was terrified: then this shows her bravery in the face of that fear, her willingness to not just overlook indiscretion but to confront it and resolve it in a way that brings the greatest good.
The only person who gets pissed about this is Norn, and some anons.

I've seen people argue this as if it's a bad thing. This is actually why I like the whole Roxy fiasco. It's fully in character for Sylphie, at that moment, to accept it. In the world they live in polygamy is completely normal outside of the Millis faith. Rudy and Sylphie were not raised to think anything negative about polygamy. Rudy actually specifically encourages his mother who is a member of the Millis faith to go against her religious morals and enter into a polygamist relationship. Sylphie grew up seeing a healthy successful polygamist family almost daily. She learned things from Zenith and Lilia and saw them living happy lives. Sylphie states several times in the novels and its even included in the show that she had always expected Rudy to take another wife. She doesn't feel like she deserves a man who is so "perfect" from her point of view and not the point of view of the audience. She see's Rudy is a well off Noble, handsome, extremely magically talented, kind, protective of her, literally her savior.
Sylphie already knew that Rudy harbored some form of feelings for Roxy and she has no reason to refuse Rudy another wife.
