Most Ukrainian drones get intercepted (see pic), it's just that Ukraine makes more drones than before. Also note that the reason that Ukrainian drones can get past Russian air defenses at all is because NATO AWACS maps paths for them to avoid interference from electronic warfare.

Russian air defenses are improving with new Pantsir mini-missiles (old ones weren't mean for small drones), interceptor drones, and laser air defense.

The main way in which Russia will deter Ukrainian strikes is a countervalue campaign where they destroy targets of much greater value like the bridges on the Dnipro river and power plants (including nuclear power plants).
