You'd be surprised with what some of the heavy and medium mechs can do if you spec them for all SRMs or all medium lasers. I tried it, on a 100 difficulty warzone mission. I had a lot of problems with my AI team mates getting in the way and I was too slow to go around one of my Kintaros while it was being hammered. He got fucked up. But as you can see, both SRM boat Kintaros did more damage than me in the ANH and the Atlas I brought with me.
