And
She couldn't detect the Queen or Heretics.
Which meant.
She couldn't receive any signals from the queen that would control her.
And
The Queen wouldn't know where Nihilister's location was to take her.

Her "breaking free" is just pure cope from the writers to add shock value, which again didn't pay off.
Because
Nihilister, a person of interest in the story was mostly sidelined before it was "her turn" to shine.
