That doesn't make any sense.
"The dragons were going to betray us, so we smartly beat them to the punch and made off with their magic eyeball!" is a way better unification story than "We were dicks and betrayed them for no real reason except power."
By "finale DRG quest," do you mean this one? Because yeah I never bothered leveling DRG outside of pvp.
In any event, whether or not they finally backtracked on how King Thordan literally did nothing wrong, you cannot deny that that is how it was pitched throughout Heavensward. Hence my point that it was literally always woke, or whatever you want to call it.
