Probably not. We used not to have shit like Dalamud and Penumbra at all back in the day. The way you modded the game was by using textools and manually replacing the files meant to be replaced (body meshes, textures, items) within the game. It was a flawed system, because it replaced everything clientside, changing every character and piece of equipment, instead of keeping it to your character only, but at the same time it had a better DIY community, because to work on file replacement correctly, you needed to know the game file structure and most normalfaggot retards couldn't be bothered to figure that out, so there was no drama at all. It was not until the creation of Dalamud and the bibo/gen3 split that troons took over modding and it had only gone downhill from there.
