I'm unironically only playing retail because it looks a thousand times better than private servers still stuck on 1999 models and terrain.

The zones. The transmogs. The mounts. The abilities & spells. It's all so, so much better on retail, even if the gameplay design is mid and the feature list for Midnight is pathetic.
