I want you to understand a couple things:

1.) WoW peaked at 12.5 million subs.
2.) WoW reached 10 million subs again, albeit briefly, during the release of WoD in 2014.

2014 is 10 years after the release of WoW. Over a decade ago, the game was already a decade ago. That is ancient for any video game. Yet it almost reached the absolute peak back then.

Why? It was already old by then, so you can't use that excuse. I know WoD wasn't good, so that's obviously why it was brief, but SOMETHING caused 10 million people to return.

So the real answer is that WoW is still absolutely *possible* of gaining that many subs back, but it's as unlikely as finding a needle in a Barnhouse full of haystacks because of the current make-up of "people" designing the game.
