I fucking hate how spoof shows like Family Guy are younger generations' only reference point for classic media. Nobody born in a year starting with 2 knows Star Trek for Star Trek. They either know the Kelvin movies (which are quickly being forgotten) or the Family Guy Happy Meal toy version. They have their own media made for their 10 second attention spans. Star Trek to some 23 year old is that show Peter Griffin likes.
