A good starting point right now that I build all my lists from. This is maybe the first 1k points
Warhorde
2x warboss with 2x breaka boyz (killing power)
1x10 boyz (sticky home and nuisance)
2x10 gretchin (one move onto nml one cp farm home)
2x5 flash gitz (skirmishers that bully other skirmishers on the edges and stay relevant all game)
1x battlewagon (stat check)
3x trukks (taxi and nuisance)

Ork players need to know the terrain rules well and we need to make sure enough terrain is on the board and enforce "ground floor windows boarded up" or we auto-lose because we can't play the shooting game
