I don't think she is generic at all. She can't stop losing in her career, and despite crying her heart out and feeling down, she doesn't give up, keeps training and worrying about her fellow Umas who are feeling down too. She doesn't win everything like a hero, she is one more of the bunch and that makes her special to me.
