Woke is cultural Marxism. Woke people believe that straight white males hold the means to cultural production and the proletariat (non whites and LGBT+@?/*) need to rise up and reclaim the means of cultural production. Basically anything that subverts white men and white culture is woke. That being said I don't really find foundation to be very woke despite the black women playing roles of people who weren't black or female in the book.
