Can someone please explain to me why sock+sandals is considered a bad thing? Been hearing this all my life, never understood. Im not talking about dress codes or safety issues (obviously don't go to a construction site or a court hearing in sandals) but what's the deal with the seemingly irrational seethe over socks+sandals? If im just running a quick errand, and it's hot and i was already wearing socks, what's wrong with just slipping in some sandals? It's not a fashion statement, it's just convenient, if it's hot enough that i wasn't even wearing socks in the first place, then sandals are OK? Or if im doing more shit or it's raining, then ill put on some normal sneakers. I already have to wear boots 5 days a week for work, so why the fuck are some people trying to police my footwear choices when im off the clock?

Similar story for me, massive horndog in late teens early-mid 20s, lot of hookups (pre dating apps, picking up drunk chicks at parties, bars, clubs) lot of cheating, longest relationship was 8 years, until she gave me the marrige and kids now or it's over, and i was like yeah ok it's over then, was still early in independent adult life/career etc... kids was a risky proposition

In the coming years had more flings, few much shorter semi longer term 2-3y things, but always ended with some commitment ultimatum which never worked.

Looking back now, i dont regret a damn thing, im happy with my free time and have more disposable income than i know what to do with. And frankly even if i won the lottery and had ferrari/rolex/multiple vacation home money, i wouldn't want to have kids, future looks grim at a high level, and im self aware of my own selfish nature that itd just be a begrudging obligation, on top of that kids can disappoint you.

I don't really hate women like all the truceljak memes, i just have learned that they all are biologically disposed to get baby crazy and i dont want no kids, just let me enjoy the fruits of my labor with my choice of bread and circuses

Got friends with kids and wives who are happy, dont blanket hate all women, it just aint for me
