E33 had a good story but let’s not pretend it was ground shattering too of line shit. There is really no good video game stories that are compelling desu. That’s why we have movies, and tv. People who goon over game narratives are shallow imo because there isn’t enough depth unless your playing some game running for decades like wow (not claiming wow is amazing story, it’s just deep cause it’s been around for 20 years.)

If E33 was a movie it would definitely do well with a cinematic lens but we know the plot, so the mystique is gone. If you play games for compelling narratives you might be a midwit

While I doubt the merchant used their real name or stuck around, put out an arrest warrant for them among the securitrons and NVPD anyway. At the very least it'll catch them if they're stupid enough to come back with the same identity.
Beyond that, frankly, it isn't worth our time to hunt them down. We aren't getting that money back outside of exceptional circumstances, and while personally hunting them down and popping their head sounds enticing we have better things to do than go on a wild goose chase for a swindler.
