as a young Brit growing up with South Park, I think a lot of stuff went over my head but was still funny. they ripped on loads of celebrities of the time but in a single show, Barbra Streisand, Tom Cruise, Ben Afflek etc and they were fun contained episodes. I don't like the new direction where they dogpile on the common thing to hate and unironically beat the dead horse. it used to feel more like "their beef" (which felt unique to me).
the trump stuff is cringe in an era of everthing you see online being trumps fault and i'm tired of it. where I grew up thinking these guys were out of the box satirical guys I'm more aware of my surroundings and it feels like "edgy pandering", but it's safe and overplayed.
