Another mechanical anon here. I haven't really followed the story (I'm boomer who gets angry if I can't play the game in first 5 mins, I skip all story nowadays), but people say it's good. But I can vouch, the game itself is very good and very well thought out. At first I had hard to get into it and thought it was too easy, but you are supposed to play on the expert mode and you realize you don't know anything about the game.

Anyhow, in Chrono Ark most bosses have some unique mechanic that requires you to play your deck differently. Sometimes your team build can be completely countered by some boss, so there's no solution fits all. The way bosses are designed slightly reminds me of Final Fantasy X. I haven't still beaten the Once challenge (even on normal), and blood mists completely fuck me up. The only downside with this game is the map thing, it could have been simplified a lot, like walking around the map is pretty pointless.
