I think I'm finally going to try Codie. I'm smooth brained though - looking through these decklists I can see there are creatures. Simian Spirit Guide and Elvish Spirit Guide I understand - but are creatures able to be put onto the battlefield even with Codies restriction? Specifically talking about Blood Pet and Dualcaster Mage, etc.
