I guess this song has a lot more scope and meaning then you would think it does, a lot of people find it cringy or they think it's too emo I don't understand why that is like I would really like to know, I think it's really good song writing

The desire or motivation to go and fight in a war due to the terrorist attacks is like some illusion or something and he's being swept up in this illusion of sorts

But it was a pretty big idea I guess but it's also about his father as well
