An update for a mechanic for this campaign [with a revised version of being planned for another work down the line if we get there].
[Purification]
While on the battlefield and within 10 spaces of enemy ace pilots, "Machu" will cancel the death roll for enemy pilots. If an enemy ace is shot down while "Machu" is within this range though, she can spend "Purification points" to touch the enemy aces soul to reach an understanding. Depending on the level of hatred, zeal and/or fanaticism, it will require more purification points to reach this understanding.
[RULES]
1."Machu" will spawn with 5 purification points. Every 10 turns in game, she will gain a new purification point to use. She can have 10 maximum. Additional purification points can be gained from ingame events.
At 10/10 purity, every turn a random roll will occur to determine if "Machu" will return to being Amate. Should this occur, she will respawn as a "Amate" with new stats. Purity mechanic will cease to function should this occur, but Amate will be restored to her original self prior to the Dakar incident.
2.Purity points can be lost should an allied ace be killed in battle while she is within 10 spaces of them. Certain aces have far more severe purity point loss damage should they be killed.
>Life partner-Deux: -5 purity points upon death
>Near sisterly-Beltorchika: -4 purity points upon death
>Dear friend-Reccoa (if recruited) -3 purity points upon death
"Machu" will lose a purity point every time she enters into a battle with Casval or Nyaan. Any event that actively hurts her emotionally can also remove a purity point.
3. Should "Machu" reach 0/10 Purity points, she will initiate a coin flip to determine if she will physically die from the stress of the universe around her. If the coin flip succeeds, she will restore to 1/10 points. If it fails, she will die.
