>XVI is indeed a barren, no-mans-land though. No giant bug monsters.
I want to fucking emphasize, that the decision to make the game a corridor with empty MMO fields and 20 hours of cutscenes was not dictated by engine or any other development problems, like in the case of XV, it was a conscious choice of retards who made this interactive movie. We even know they wanted to add more cutscenes to the game, this was stated in one of the interviews. Luckily there was at least one adequate person in the development team who forbade it. I hope it was Takai because he's the only person from the lead team I trust since TLR was and still is a good game. I'm probably wrong in my hopes, as Takai has stated in other interviews that he was inspired by God of War when creating XVI. Of course, we're not talking about the old GoW trilogy.
I once saw webm where Clive walks around and talks to soulless NPCs for 10 minutes in a row. He runs back and forth like an idiot, and it goes on for an obscenely long time, which perfectly describes the (absolute) state of XVI's design. I can't find that webm. Someone post it.
