My school had no cctv or smartphones when i attended. The shenanigans were off tap. We had big wide sliding windows with no flyscreens in two stoey buildings. In one upper story classroom there was an awning below the wide open window. They held lunchtime detention there. Kids would throw sandwiches through the open window into the spinning ceiling fans then just stand underneath the awning and blend off into the crowd. The pressure regulator screws in the bubblers got removed and turned into a water jet that would decimate all who used it. It wasnt uncommon for a piece of fruit to explode on the wall or floor next to wherever you were standing with no evidence of an attacker. It was a better time. You couldnt get away with any of that these days.
