An actual good suit is austere, not because it is meekish and deprived, but because walking around like a peacock is for animals and not man.
This mans suit may have been just as expensive as the prior examples but that is not important, what is important is that that is not the focus of it. Its cost is completely secondary to its design, which is sharp and orderly. You expect this man to be a professor or some kind of academic, he appears thoughtful. This is what a suit should do, this is what it is designed to do. Anything else is an aberration and return to barbarism.
