I was going in the middle August for the first time for 2 weeks. planning on staying on Tokyo the first 5 days, 3 days in Kyoto and 1 day in Nara in a really nice Ryokan.
I want to have 2 plans for the rest of the trip depending on my mood after leaving Tokyo: if I feel like doing more Tokyo, I will return to Tokyo for the remainer of the trip, but if I feel sick of the cities I was planning on going to the north to a couple of rural areas I was lightly planning for. Am I gonna get fucked over with last-minute planning to Kanazawa, Giju, and/or Nagano in the middle of August? I guess the answer is probably yes, but I need someone to tell me I'm dumb. Also is a one day trip to Koya without sleeping there worth it?
