I know it's silly, but I believe in this. I don't talk to the machine. When I call a place and there's an IVR, I just hit 0 over and over until I get a human. I want to find those programmers who said "give them human traits," and kick them in the dick. Functional is all we need out of your machine ass. Stop pretending. It's creepy and weird.
