I can safely say without bias or remorse that Optimus Prime is one of the greatest characters and heroes of /co/ history, and he has my vote. He is a warrior for peace, honor, and freedom, seeking to protect not only his own race but those far smaller and weaker than him that were kind enough to provide a new home. He has no mouth, yet he smiles. He carries the soul of his people right in his chest, a beacon for all to see during the darkest hour. An above all, he could choose to be anything, yet he chooses a truck. That may not seem like much to you, but consider that Optimus chose to be a vehicle of burden, to carry the weight of others rather than transform into a weapon.

He is one of the greats.

It should be noted that Optimus doesn't WANT to kill Decepticons, because at the end of the day it only serves to expedite the extinction of their already dwindling race. He is more than welcome to negotiate, reason, even accept them with open arms after millions of years of war. He just doesn't show weakness when its him vs them
