Who asked for this? Devs really need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel with resistances and armor. It was already easy and simple to figure out, now they are going to dumb it down to one stat, just like in d3. It's like dealing with UI designers who need to fuck something up occasionally to later fix and revert that, only to justify their existence.

This on the other hand looks like a typical "we need to take an existing system and make it more tedious and arduous". Not that renown was anything rewarding in the first place but prevailing bonuses were nice and felt like your prior effort rewarded you with some benefits.

All in all I have high hopes majority of streamers and people on forums will flame them for these changes after PTR. Season 10 is good and if they pull through with those patch notes next one will be boring by comparison. Ain't gonna be good for those metrics.
