You're not happy and you're looking at other people who are happy and making unconscious assumptions. Only you can make yourself meaningfully happy. If a gf was the only thing that could make you happy you'd be shit scared of losing her to the point nothing would be worth it. She wouldn't respect you if she knew. The whole thing is a non-starter. On the surface it seems counterintuitive but you have to make yourself happy - there has to be things you want to do for yourself that give you satisfaction. When you don't *need* a gf, it's much easier to be confident, which in turn makes you much more likeable.
