I feel this way when I see how trans people are treated in celebrity culture, it's great to wear a 'protect the dolls' shirt and spread awareness, but then they often typecast trans people in media as clocky spicy gays, or a statement for gender abolition... hollywood could do a lot of good by casting some plain 5'6" youngshit and then just giving her the roles they would give a cis woman. But maybe that scares cis people a little or they're too mild to suggest actual HRT for youths instead of blockers until 18 or 21. I got more support as a teenager from tumblr girls in my class than famous movie star "allies" (and they were way more radical too).
