I'm kind of worried that the ending of TADC is some variant of "they truly can't escape but at least they have each other" because it would just feel so... unsatisfactory? inconclusive? It would feel like a narrative wet noodle. At least Murder Drones had an ending that resolves mostly everything. It might work if a character or two abstracts but they get new suckers that don't suck as much as Jax. I don't know.
