I can easily imagine that if it was ever brought to their door Kamiya would be snobbish about it and express that the IP is just low grade philistine trash and he wants absolutely nothing to do with it.
An action game studio wouldnt be a good fit for P/S anyway. A JRPG or even racing game is more its style.
