ultimately games are a luxury
society doesn't require you to make them
people don't need to buy them
you aren't deserving of success simply because you put in the work
95% of indie games see little to no success, they fly under the radar getting about 500 steam reviews if they're lucky
the entire fucking world economy is buckling and in western nations the price of living is skyrocketing, people are much more choosy with how they spend their money
you don't get to pick the conditions of the market, nor argue with them, they are what they are and you can adapt or you can leave
