When I first played this mission I fucking hated it, but the more I played it the more I ended up really liking it. As a kid my friends and I would always make up various challenges for us to do after we beat the game so many times and The Library always had the most challenges we could come up with. After recently playing through the MCC with a buddy, it's still my favorite CE mission and we still do the "Legendary, plasma pistol only, maintain green overshields" challenge and it's fun as fuck. I can understand why a lot of people don't like it, but I think it's the perfect level to follow up 343 with to really showcase just how dangerous and overwhelming the flood is by making you run the gauntlet. No humans, no Covenant, just Flood.
