Not really.

The Cartel thing only existed in Colombia since the 1980s. It was limited to that country. They were erradicated there (somewhat) in the 2000s so they moved to Venezuela and Mexico. But it's all a pretty new phenomenon. Mexico used to be pretty safe until about 2010.

The Venezuelans also spread around Latin America as refugees when that country collapsed and brought crime with them, tho, to Ecuador, Peru and Chile which used to be one of the safest countries in South America.

We were spared because the train of Venezuelan refugees stopped at Chile, we have Venezuelans but they are more chill middle class types that escaped before the collapse.

I'm afraid if the Americans invade Venezuela we won't be spared this time.
It will be like a big ball of pus being squashed and spreading infection all over.

tl;dr - The whole region was safer when the cancer was contained in Colombia.

>Meanwhile the US is big enough and populated enough that you can live comfortably in most places and never actually deal with the problems that get memed about.
Bullshit, only a few flyover states are as safe as Canada.
