Not really. Microcosmically you are the Son, you are Osiris. The son of Geb and Nut (consciousness and energy) in that you have the life-force. Indra.
You just resurrect after being cut apart by Set (or swallowed by Vritra) your lower-self, your reptilian brain. Subconscious. Isis (Sophia, the Kundalini energy and a Dakini) is your key to doing that. She reassembles you and gives birth to your new self. Then your old self, Osiris, will be the god of the dead, and your new self, Horus, will be a king. In ancient Egypt Horus represented the Pharaohs because the Pharaohs were akin to Mahasiddhas.
Getting cut up by your lower-self is Dionysian, and Dionysian rituals were based on what's now called Vamachara.
Really it comes down to mind over matter, understanding the nature of consciousness and "cutting through" to the pure consciousness to attain eternal life through the non-dual state.

Again, look into Ali and Sufism. Sufis don't take the whole Quran literally because Ali had "esoteric" knowledge that he passed down. This knowledge is the same inner teachings of every religion. Jesus is akin to a Mahasiddha, and is considered to be an alchemist in Sufism. One who achieved union with God and gained abilities others don't have. Jesus said himself he was a messenger sent by God, that his words were not his own but the Fathers (luminous mind, Al-Alim) and even called himself a prophet. He was one with the Father the same way Sufi saints or Buddhist monks are one with Allah/the Dharmakaya in consciousness. Sufism is extremely similar to gnosticism, even sharing the concept, except Sufism is a lot more organized and a lot bigger. It also doesn't bother with the demiurge stuff, just gets straight to non-dual point. A lot of western alchemy was influenced by Sufis.
Also, one of the names of Allah means "the womb". Allah is beyond gender. Consciousness, energy, divine manifestation/life force.

Sufism is a bit different than the Islam most people here know. It's about becoming one with Allah through esoteric practices. Jesus is considered an alchemist in Sufism, an example of Al-Insan Al-Kamil. A man who used alchemy to become one with God and gain abilities related to that consciousness.
A lot of western alchemical societies were influenced by the Moors. Christian Rosenkreuz traveled through Moorish Spain learning the "occult", and the Moors influenced Europe heavily by translating Greek and Roman texts while also adding their own alchemical teachings, many of which came from ancient, pre-Islamic Mesopotamia. Methods from many religions can be incorporated into this as Sufism teaches all religions come from a single core of realizing oneness with Allah.
