I think people want to ride the high of the Nessa shitstorm again despite the fact it's not going to play out the same way because people still have it in their recent memory how bad actors were just making the situation worse for them. It doesn't help SwSh just looked really fucking bad and people were in denial about those games being as bad as they were so now that it's "the norm" console Pokemon games are shit, LOTS of people are just REALLY tired of the constant doomering
