“Okay. But, first, before I agree. You have to tell me who you want to recruit.” you tell her seriously.
“It's Raditz.” she answers, without hesitation. “You saw how powerful his Apex form was when we fought, while under that Tuffle's control. If he can still use that level of power, he'll be invaluable.”
“Do you really think he'll listen to you?” your wife asks her pointedly. Not in some sort of accusatory tone, but rather one of caring with a hint of worry. “Will he even talk if you approach him?”
“Yeah. He will. After all, he has something to fight for.” she replies, raising her right hand to her forehead. “And a family he can't lose again. I know Radi, he'll do whatever it takes to keep them safe.”
“As long as you're sure about this. If he agrees let us know.” you answer, Chaya nodding solemnly once before closing her eyes for several seconds, then vanishing. Leaving you and Meloka still standing in Chilli's dining room, Megumin, Kazuburo, and your son having watched the exchange silently.
“Well then, now that you don't have anywhere urgent to be, will you be joining us to eat now?” your daughter in law Megumin asks with a slight teasing tone to her voice. To which you and your wife share a look, then agree. Taking seats at your son's crystalline table. Yet somehow he managed to change to colors of the crystals so they look like wood, and looking around everything, despite having been made of crystal before, now all seems to be different textures.
“I've had plenty of free time now, now that I don't sleep.” he says, noticing your curious gaze. “Gave me time to get to projects I'd been putting off, like warming up the colors of my home. Instead of everything being that same pale, faintly-glowing blue.”
“And it looks great!” your grandson shouts eagerly, wanting to be included. To which you laugh, reaching over and ruffling his hair before Megumin comes over with several small plates of some sort of roasted meat, the smell now that it's in front of you causing your mouth to water. “Yaaay! Thanks Mom!”
“Hehe, of course, Kazuburo. You need to eat everything to grow up big and strong, like your grandfather.” she tells her son with a smile. You all sit and eat together, the food quite delicious in a more homey sort of way than Silver's culinary perfection. You all enjoy the meal, then once it's over you and your wife prepare to leave. “Thanks for stopping by, you're always welcome here.”
