Asuka is a traumatized child in NGE, Shikinami is a (random reveal/setup) clone of some original person at the final crap rebuild film.
Mari is a 60yo+ old groomer; as many ppl say, who did... things for... idk anno dropped th plot/ball and gave up making a film with an actual plot.

NGE/EOE asuka is the best.
