I can't imagine telling someone, after their first BJJ class, that they're not good at fighting.
Yeah, that's kind of the point of trying something new. I didn't try mixing up martial arts until I was a purple belt. I didn't try judo until brown belt.
I think the important things to do at white belt are
>See if you even like the stupid fucking ground karate
>Learn how to fit BJJ into your schedule
>Proper hygiene+laundry+nail length+tying your belt
I started because I wanted the complex fighting like in Naruto and now I'm a 4 stripe brown belt. All the other people with good motivations and reasons and reasonable ideas of how to develop are gone (except for like 1 or 2 other guys)
