I'm running a OYW campaign in an insane custom system that's untested but we're gonna patch it on the fly. The system is based on Beam Saber but with a custom, more tactical combat system bolted on similar to LANCER because we like that.

My players picked Zeon so we ran through the Battle of Loum and the Second Earth Landing Operation. My players are playing:
>a teenager with an attitude problem who's creating a bee-themed squad out of female zeon pilots
>a cousin of the ral family who spends all his time in a laboratory. looks like a cyborg. acts like an extremely snooty prussian
>some shmuck whose best talent is filing reports. somehow an insane ace mobile suit pilot who turns into larry from pokemon when he leaves the mobile suit

So far, they've:
>smoked Sleggar Law in a Toriares by riding his ass into the ground like a surfboard
>after Garrett Schmitzer broke his spine, they gave him a new one via Alaya-Vijnana system
>helped take down California Base with the Midnight Fenrir
>filmed propaganda with Delaz and now children are joining the military en masse
>are pressing the feddies into pushing stupid prototypes like this "Bally" out into the field
