dunno. Lots of gratuitous nudity and sex, so I'm afraid author was fearing Axe, but since the start of the lewd content, it got 40-50 more chapters, so it probably was intended early on if not from the start.
After all, as dark fantasy it probably looks at Berserk as one of the inspirations and that was lewd as hell.

It would be unfair if it got axed, most undiluted fantasy of fantasy series, atm, I would say.
