This type of thing wouldn't be a first for the franchise. Reminder that for the first film they had practically all of Mike Myer's lines recorded and then on a whim he decided "actually fuck it I want to do my Fat Bastard voice for the role let's record all of it again but with a Scottish accent".

And this was after they had also recorded about 85% of the lines with Chris Farley and had to throw that out too due to him dying.
