The sets of maps where I've truly agreed about the "style over substance" remark as directed towards the Slipseer groups have been the mapjams. I've experienced a similar variety to the Q2 jams but with a bigger emphasis on trying out various and fun gameplay ideas. Feels like the Q2 remaster provided people a bigass toolbox to mess around with, even compared to a lot of Q1 mods.
Other major Slipseer projects - Dwell, Tomb of Thunder, Spiritworld - have been largely decent to occasionally great, and I'm not even sure how many of those few are from the "herd" besides the first.

That's one of the main hub levels I left for last, just got a few more before the auxiliary maps. I think I'm going to run out of stock AD maps before that happens so I'll need to "fill in some slots"

That gets my vote as favorite AD map. Really love the build up to the creepy truth and it's a solid level throughout.
Did the same guy who made it get to work on Wrath? I'm having a hard time finding level credits for that game.
