This is just reinforcing the validity of the original criticism.

>ff9 has the least amount of bloat amount he ff psx games.
This is arguable and somewhat subjective. FF9's bloat tends toward feeling low effort, but is otherwise well-integrated into the game and reasonably polished. The game is full of all these tasks to complete like Mognet and Stellazio and the utterly braindead button-mashing minigame Chocobo Hot&Cold. The Card Game is controversial because it's an awkward combination of card playing and random dice rolls.

FF7 bloat tends toward feeling overly ambitious, taking a kitchen-sink approach to the game design because they were desperate to Nintendo out of the water. Sony and Square wanted to market a game so huge there were games inside the game. So you had these substantial minigame subsystems that enabled the Bike Chase, the Snowboarding, Chocobo Racing, the Submarine game, and Fort Condor. This on top of the minor minigames and events and the Gold Saucer. The turtle's paradise flyers side quest genuinely feels like a semi-hidden easter egg for players to find (as opposed to a more obvious structured, reward-laden side quest like the Stellazio in FF9).
