Well, it took me half a year, but I finally finished Sun Vulcan.
This was painful to watch.
I haven't looked at opinions on the Showa era Sentai, so I don't know how people felt about this then or now, but this sucked fucking ass and is to date the longest I've taken to finish any season of a tokusatsu. In a previous thread someone mentioned JAKQ was unanimously disliked, which I understand, but that at least had Big One and his Big Gun which I thought were kinda nice.
I can't think of anything good to say about Sun Vulcan other than FUHRER HELL SATURN is a great name and design, but oops! Turns out it's fucking Shine again! Thanks JAKQ!
Queen Hedrian's new design was horrible, Black Magma was lackluster, the episodes were a horrible to watch because of the cast, it just sucked the soul out of me. Even the focus episodes I found ranged from weak to annoying.
Denziman had a lot of stuff I didn't like but it was still very fun to watch, the cast was cool, the finishers were great, and I generally enjoyed watching the villains do their thing.
Sun Vulcan had none of that. Even Inazuma Ginga was just Banriki again. And I thought Banriki was great just because of how funny it was that he was a drunk asshole.

I'm tired, boss. I think I'll jump ahead to Bioman.
