No actually, they got a bunch of models like a year ago, and rule support too. There are significant Kroot characters in the recent Tau novels and there's a Kroot companion in the upcoming Owlcat inquisitor game. GW seems to be embracing Tau auxiliaries a lot more, the Vespid got a kill team. Good chance we'll see official gue'vesa soon.
