JFC, James– what every failed self defense case has in common is that the defendant made incriminating / contradictory statements during interviews with investigators [never do this, always demand a lawyer] or in some other admissible documentation presented by the prosecution to the jury. The only thing that inane study demonstrates is the reason why we have a jury selection process in this country: to filter out POS who would convict someone on the bases of weapon used in self defense.
