This show hit a sweet spot of feeling sincere and earnest. I actually liked it for being milquetoast. I wish Nick Offerman was my dad. I'm a mid-westerner in an isolated town, so maybe a lot of the stupid little details while not 1:1 resonated with me. Or maybe it's that I romanticize Alaska since isolation and snow appeal to me. The characters felt wholesome in a dorky kind of way. Watching this morning when they did the it's a pretty ok life deal and the end credits I felt instinctively that the show was up for cancellation. It wasn't a 'laugh a minute' tight writing but it made me smile and for me, that's enough. Now to feel sad reading all the comments that boil down to: this show is boring and not as funny as edgier more topical shows that have been going for longer than some posters on this board have been alive. Thanks for the smiles Bouchard. I like this a little more than modern Bob's Burgers
