How do you know GW won't still sue you since they're suing Battletech fans now too?
Kidding aside, I totally respect this as someone who was pissed off at the GW policies. I'm all down for the competition but I know nothing about their settings. If you want an Astartes animation equivalent, you need something with raw appeal that's easy to like at the first glance you take at it.
Taking a quick glance at Infinity looks like it's going for something different, like Cyberpunk in space. With a lot of Muslims for some reason.
I need to know what's iconic about this universe. 40k has Space Marines, very easy for everyone to get into and see the appeal immediately, and then they have a lore hook that connects them to the wider lore and other factions. Battletech has Battlemechs, if you like big stompy robots you've got endless to play with. And then you've got color coded factions that are very simply structured and easy to understand, with plenty of lore to dig into once you pick your favorite.
What are Infinity/Warcrow's equivalent to these? I genuinely don't mean this to be a sort of concern troll. I need to know what we're working with. Something that you can reduce simply to their raw appeal but then expand into the rest of the wider world with. The first thing I noticed was a faction with Islam in their name and it's not doing it for me, and I don't even hate muslims that much.
tl;Dr: What's the surface level cool iconic thing I'm missing? Something that you can look at first glance and think "that's fucking awesome" before digging into the wider lore. Like Space Marines or Battlemechs for Infinity/Warcrow
