Correct, which is why the cartels run a jammer for every team member. Shenzhen's 14-band DRF-H0005 is $270 a pop and simultaneously jams 14 bands - including wifi, cellular, and VHF, with a watt on each band. That's pretty weak, but your cell is shit out of luck if you have six or seven men each with their own jammer providing overlap around your house.
That's also last-gen tech, the newer Jinyatong JYT-1290 puts out 37W across twelve bands. Not sure if that one has hit the underground channels yet. There are ways to get these in the US, but they require connections.
If they're smart, they'll use a stolen car or faked rental for the hit and run a jammer per man. Some robbers in NJ are using larger desktop jammers with considerably more range and higher-gain antennas.
Obv with jammers you need to account for cooling. They can't output max power forever and will throttle, so the jackholes will need to keep shit quick if they want to maintain coverage.
